A historic law is changing the future for dogs in South Korea, but support is still needed.
Cid Marcos,
Bok Nal season, a time in July and August that spans the hottest days of the year, is about to start in South Korea. It's also when more people consume dog meat with the belief that it will replenish energy and restore vitality. The majority of dogs who suffer and die on squalid dog meat farms are killed for Bok Nal.
In 2024, South Korea’s National Assembly passed landmark legislation to end the dog meat industry, but it won’t take effect until 2027.
That’s why we need your help to keep the momentum up. This Bok Nal, we're joining animal lovers in South Korea and across the globe to support the ban on dog meat and show that Bok Nal can be celebrated without cruelty.
