Responding to the super typhoon in the Pacific

When a super typhoon tore through Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, including Saipan, Tinian and Rota, the devastation was immense. With power and water knocked out, the Saipan Humane Society, the island's primary source of veterinary care, was severely limited in what it could do. Our team traveled to the region to provide hands-on support, delivering supplies and care to more than 1,100 animals and their families alike. "When we heard you guys were coming, we were like, 'Oh yeah!'" one resident shared.

Every year, our Horrible Hundred report pulls back the curtain on specific puppy mills and puppy mill suffering in the United States, and this year's findings are as urgent as ever. From dogs left in freezing temperatures to a breeder who killed a sick dog rather than seek veterinary care, the cruelty documented in this report is happening right now at licensed, legal facilities. For 14 years, this report has helped give a voice to dogs who can't speak for themselves. From a spirited pup named Streak who stole her heart at age 7 to Oscar, a once-shy street cat who now loves to cuddle, animals have been her greatest inspiration. Jen has chosen to honor that bond by including Humane World for Animals in her will. "They are honest and work really hard for the animals," she says. Target renews its commitment to cage-free eggs

After years of advocacy, Target has renewed its commitment to sell only eggs from cage-free hens by 2030, releasing a comprehensive plan with annual benchmarks across its 2,000 U.S. stores. This is a meaningful step forward for hens who would otherwise spend their lives confined to barren wire cages with no room to move. More than 195,000 supporters signed our petition calling on Target to make good on its promise, and that pressure made a difference.
