Show your support for a dog meat-free Bok Nal in South Korea!

The Bok Nal summer season in South Korea is a period in July and August that spans the hottest days of the year. It's also a time of year when more people consume dog meat soup and other foods believed to replenish energy and restore vitality. The majority of dogs who suffer and die on squalid dog meat farms are killed for Bok Nal.

Your support helped South Korea’s National Assembly pass a law banning the dog meat industry—including farming, sale and slaughter, but it won’t take effect until 2027. Humane World for Animals is joining compassionate citizens and dog lovers in South Korea and across the globe to support the ban on dog meat and to show that Bok Nal can be celebrated without cruelty. There are so many alternative and humane ways to beat the heat—none of which require the suffering or death of dogs or any animals for human consumption.

Let's come together and say yes to a dog meat-free Bok Nal! Please add your name to show support for South Korea's dog meat ban, a dog meat-free future and a better life for all dogs, everywhere.
