Arizona: Urge your state representatives to vote “NO” on SB 1721

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Thank you for making calls to urge Arizona senators to oppose SB 1721, which would undo Arizona’s important cage-free regulation. Unfortunately, this measure passed the Senate and is headed to the House of Representatives. Hens in Arizona desperately need your help to keep this essential animal welfare regulation intact.

On many egg factory farms hens are crammed into cages so small that they cannot spread their wings. They are forced to eat, sleep and defecate in the same limited space and are denied almost everything that is natural to them. These conditions are cruel to the animals and increase the spread of diseases which can then sicken people. Rolling back Arizona’s cage-free regulation would not solve the current availability and price issues in the egg market, which are due to avian flu.

Please make your voice heard before it's too late. Ask your state representatives to vote “NO” on this disastrous bill.
